Mrs. O. V. Chamness, Wife of Professor
Mrs. Helen Chamness, a former Korean missionary and wife of a seminary professor in San Anselmo, died yesterday at her Greenbrae home following a lingering illness.
Mrs. Chamness, 59, came to Marin three years ago from Berkeley. She had returned from Korea in 1948.
She was the wife of Dr. O, Vaughn Chamness, professor of visual education at San Francisco Theological seminary in San Anselmo.
Also surviving are three sons, Leland, Robert, and O. Vaughn Jr.
Funeral services have been arranged for Tuesday at the Redwoods Presbyterian Church in Larkspur. Time of the service will be announced later by Guy W. Jenness mortuary of San Anselmo. Friends have been invited to visit the Jenness chapel until Tuesday morning. Burial has been set for Sunset View cemetery, Berkeley.
A death notice in the same paper adds information: Helen Mitchell Chamness was a native of Minnesota.
