CLARE FENTON

Requiem Mass will be celebrated for Miss Clare E. Fenton, a lifelong resident of Mill Valley, at 9:30 a.m. tomorrow at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, Mill Valley.

Miss Fenton, 58, died Saturday at a San Francisco hospital after a short illness.

Rosary will be recited at 8 p.m. today at Russell and Gooch Mortuary, Mill Valley.

Miss Fentonís parents came to Mill Valley in 1894. She and four brothers and three sisters were born in Mill Valley. She had been born in the same house at 197 East Blithedale Avenue in which she lived until her fatal illness.

She had worked 12 years for Simmons Co. as payroll clerk, first in San Francisco and then, about a year ago, transferring to San Leandro when the plant was moved thee.

Miss Fenton is survived by her sisters, Mrs. Helen Hazleton and Miss Thelma Fenton, both of Mill Valley, and Mrs. Lois Sawyer of Sierra City, Sierra County; four brothers, Frank Fenton of San Francisco, Fremont Fenton of Richmond, Joseph Fenton of Santa Venetia and Ward Fenton of Laytonville, Mendocino County.

A Death Notice in the same paper gives the names of her parents, the late Daniel and Henrietta Fenton; she was survived by five nieces and two nephews.
