MARION ENTWISTLE

Funeral for Marion Entwistle of Corte Madera will be Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. at Keatonís Mortuary in San Rafael, followed by burial at Mount Tamalpais Cemetery.

Mrs. Entwistle died Saturday at a local hospital after a long illness. She was 71.

She and her husband, George Entwistle, moved to 157 Birch Avenue in 1961. The couple was married in Chicago, Ill., in 1922 and lived there until moving to Marin.

Mrs. Entwistle was a president for two years of the Corte Madera Improvement Club and participated in planning the townís 50th anniversary celebration in 1966. She also belonged to the California Federation of Improvement Clubs; the American Legion Auxiliary of Beverly Hills, Chicago; and Greater Pullman 2240 Auxiliary of the Veterans of Foreign Wars.

Prior to her marriage, she was a dancer for the Ziegfield Follies and a model.

She was born in Winslow, Me., but moved around a great deal as a girl before settling in Chicago.

Surviving her in addition to her husband are a daughter, Marion Daczkowski* of Lansing, Ill., and a sister, Bella Owles of San Francisco.
