MIRIAM L. YOUNCE
Teacher

Funeral services for Miriam Louise Younce, formerly of Marin, were held Jan. 14 in Deming, Wash. She died Jan. 9 in Deming. She was 59.

Ms. Younce was born in San Francisco and lived in Deming. She was raised in Mill Valley and graduated from the University of California at Berkeley.

She taught English and women's liteature at The College of Sequoias in Visalia prior to retiring in the South Fork Valley of Whatcome County in Washington. She taught English at Whatcom Community College.

Ms. Younce built and developed Blue Gate Farm, where she trained horses and riders.

She is survived by her parents, Helen and Stanley Anderson of San Rafael; two brothers, Gordon Younce of Netherlands Antilles and Tom Anderson of Sonoma; two daughters, Jodi Le Chance of Visalia and Kimberly Roe of Bellingham, Wash.; and four grandchildren.
