BECKETT, Wesley G.

BECKETT, Wesley G. -- Passed away on July 18, 2001, at the age of 84. Wes is survived by his daughter, Susan Hubbard of Palo Alto and her son, Spencer Beckett Hubbard of San Rafael; his son, Randy G. Beckett of San Pablo and his children, William M. Beckett, Lorraine M. Beckett; and their mother, Cecelia Parker, all of Livermore; sister, Lois M. Beckett and brother-in-law Dr. Glen Jamieson of Bel Marin Keys; sister-in-law Juanita Robinson of Chico; and several cousins, nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his son Bruce Beckett, wife LaVerne M. Beckett, and wife Margaret Beckett. Wes graduated from Piedmont High School and attended San Francisco City College. Wes served in the Navy during World War II as skipper of the yacht Zaca. Owner of Beckett & Co. Plumbing in Richmond and Walnut Creek for 40 years. He is a native of Paso Robles, CA, and has lived in El Cerrito for 45 years and been a resident of the East Bay for 80 years. He was a member of the Richmond Yacht Club for 49 years, Windjammers and the Local 159 Plumbers' Union. Memorial Services will be held at Richmond Yacht Club, 351 Brickyard Cove Rd. in Richmond 94807 on August 18, 2001, at 2:00 pm. Contributions in his name may be made to Richmond Yacht Club Foundation at the above address to benetfit the Juniors' Sailing Program or a favorite charity.
