Gary M. Gilbert

Of Novato peacefully died at home on September 24, 2002. Born August 23, 1932, Gary attended the University of Washington and completed his education graduating with Honors from California State College of Los Angeles (now Long Beach State University). He served five honorable years in the USAF as a Navigator and Officer. Mr. Gilbert was the founder of GCX Corporation, a specialty manufacturer for the health care industry. Currently located in Petaluma, California, GCX employs 125 people and serves customers worldwide. He is survived by his wife Paddy, two daughters Cassandra Borden and Elizabeth Gilbert, three stepdaughters Paula Farrell, Carla Kruger, Catherine Gilbert, two stepsons Joseph and John Kruger, 15 grandchildren, brother Skip Gilbert of Bellevue, WA, numerous nieces and nephews and his cherished dogs, Samantha and Nikita. His extraordinary energy, intelligence, attention to detail, generosity, love of life and people will not be forgotten. Gary received wonderful and loving care at home from his family, Sereana Yasa, Dr. Alan Pryor and his special friend, Dr. James Martin. A Celebration of His Life will be held at Deer Park Villa, 367 Bolinas Road, Fairfax, CA on Sunday, September 29 at 1:00 PM. Memorial considerations may be made to Hospice of Marin.
