Visitation for Arthur D. Wells of Kelseyville, Lake County, retired butcher and father of Terry Wells of Petaluma, will be tomorrow at 8 p.m. at Keatonís Chapel of Marin in Novato.
Wells, 66, became ill unexpectedly Thursday and was taken to a local hospital where attempts to revive him were unsuccessful. The coronerís office is conducting a routine autopsy.
Born and reared in Oklahoma, Wells spent most of his adult life in Kansas and California. He had been in California since 1963 and had lived in San Pablo and Bolinas and several other cities. He had a home in Kelseyville but had been staying in the Olema area for the last few months.
He was a member of the Butcherís Union Local No. 120 in Oakland, He also belonged to the Baptist church of Enid, Okla.
In addition to his son, Wells is survived by his wife, Rose Wells, of Kelseyville; a daughter, Rita Amerman of Davis; four brothers, Lloyd Wells of Arizona, Jack Wells of Missouri and Dale Wells of Kansas, and three grandchildren.
Funeral and burial will be in Enid, Okla.
A Death Notice in the same paper mentions a son, Terry Wells of Petaluma.
