John R. Hogan, 74, of 377 Laurel Place, San Rafael, a resident of Marin County for about 60 years, died in a local hospital yesterday after a six-month illness.
Hogan retired in 1958 after 28 years as a driver for Elliottís Laundry in Sausalito.
He is survived by his wife, Lillian; a stepdaughter, Mrs. Jean Hedemark of San Rafael, and two grandchildren.
Hogan was born in San Francisco. He was a member of Sea Point Parlor 158, Native Sons of the Golden West; Foresters of America, Sausalito Chapter; San Rafael Lodge 1108, Benevolent Protective Order of Elks; San Rafael Aerie, Fraternal Order of Eagles, and Wilkins Post 37, of American Legion.
Services will be conducted at Keatonís Mortuary in San Rafael under auspices of Sea Point Parlor of NSGW.
A Death Notice in the same paper names his grandchildren as Paul and Gordon Hedemark.
The CA Death Index gives his birth date as December 11, 1887 and his motherís maiden name as McKeon.
