Mrs. Alpers Dies At Home In Ross
Mrs. Wilhemine Alpers, who had made her home in Ross since the death of her husband, Herman C. Alpers, 11 years ago, died yesterday at a local hospital after a short illness. She was 88.
Mrs. Alpers came to Marin from San Francisco, where she was a member of Glueck-Auf Lodge 22. She was a native of Germany.
She made her home with a daughter, Mrs. Dola Markley, at 44 Poplar avenue, Ross.
Besides Mrs. Markley, Mrs. Alpers is survived by another daughter and two sons, Mrs. Katherine Clever and Herman and William Alpers of Novato, and by three grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at the Harry M. Williams Mortuary in San Rafael. Interment will be in Mt. Tamalpais Cemetery.
A Death Notice in the same paper adds information: she was the grandmother of Norbert Markley, Dolores O’Brien and Robert Clever, and great grandmother of Bruce O’Brien.
