Cameo L. Phillips
Mrs. Cameo L. Phillips died Dec. 31 in San Rafael after a long illness. She was 79.
Mrs. Phillips, a resident of Novato since 1958, was born on Nov. 22, 1918 in Virginia.
She began work in Marin County during World War II in the ship yards and was a longtime member of the Republican Women Club and Marin Mineral Society.
Mrs. Phillips worked as a secretary for Shell Oil until 1958 and owned a Novato lapidary shop with her husband until 1986.
She is survived by her daughters Cameo Langlano of San Rafael, Lylene Phillips of Petaluma, Linda Howard of Novato, Susan Lampert of Bend, Ore., Brenda Phillips of Tenn., six grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
A service was held on Saturday.
