Robert Joseph Righetti
Passed away on August 31, 2002, peacefully at home at the age of 62 after a courageous battle with cancer. Dearly beloved husband of Cheri Righetti, stepfather of Heather and Ryan Casteel, son of the late Joseph and Delores Righetti, nephew of James Righetti and Reggie Duarte, cousins of Gary, Stephen, Joan, Clifford Righetti, Frank Villani-Harper, Darlene Nocito, Kathy Bryant, and Barbra Treptow. He is blessed by many loving and caring friends and extended family members including Tom and Beth Minka and Ken Topping. Bob was a native San Franciscan and a longtime Marin County resident. Retired from Pacific Bell after 37 years of devoted service. He was a past president of the Northern California Chapter of American Public Works Association. He was also a proud member of the Marin County Disaster Council, the Marin Disaster Area Response Team, the Christoforo Colombo Club of Marin, and 30 year member of the Sausalito Yacht Club. Bob will be remembered by those who knew him for his quick wit, sense of humor, amazing recall, unique personal accounting system, enormous generosity, his incredible enthusiasm for hotrods, and the pride of his '77 Chevy Stepside. A Celebration of Bob's Life will be held at 1:00 on Saturday, September 7th at Mt. Tamalpais Mortuary, 2500 Fifth Avenue, San Rafael. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Marin, 150 Nellen Avenue, Corte Madera, CA 94925. Mount Tamalpais Mortuary & Cemetery 2500 5th Avenue San Rafael, CA 94901.
