Jos. Brazil, Y.M.I. Head, Died Today
Joseph T. Brazil, 26 years old, for many years president of San Rafael Council of the Y.M.I., and head of the Altar Boys’ Society at St. Raphael’s church, died today at the home of his parents on Fifth street, following a long illness.
Brazil, who had been intimately associated with the Holy ______dark streak on paper_____ general, attended St. Raphael’s parochial school, and later graduated from San Rafael High School. He was held in high esteem by his many friends and acquaintances. During his term of office in the Y.M.I. Brazil managed the basketball team, and has always been an adherent of clean sports.
Funeral services will take place Saturday morning when a requiem high mass will be celebrated at 9:30 followed by interment at Mt. Olivet cemetery under the direction of the Sawyer Co. Brazil is survived by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Manuel Brazil, and two uncles, one living in Ignacio, and the other at Healdsburg.
