VICTOR A. BAROSSI
A private family funeral has been held for Victor A. Barossi of Tiburon.
He was a retired vice president of Bank of America and a Marin County resident since the early 1930s.
Barossi died Saturday in a local hospital after a lengthy illness. He was 71.
Born in Italy, he moved to San Francisco as a child with his family. He joined the Bank of America in 1928. During his 45-year career with the bank, he served as manager of branches in Fairfax, Point Reyes Station, Hamilton Air Force Base and in San Francisco.
He was active in Boy Scout affairs and was an officer or director of the Fairfax, Novato and other Lions clubs. He was a past director of the Novato Chamber of Commerce and the Marin County Development Association.
He is survived by is wife, Evelyn Barossi of Tiburon; a son, Robin Barossi of San Rafael; a daughter, Susan Barossi of San Francisco; a sister, Anne Tianezzi of Delhi, Merced County; and by two grandchildren.
Entombment was in the Italian Cemetery, Colma.
The family prefers memorial gifts to the American Cancer Society.
