Frederick Kitzmiller, 25, of 162 Belvedere Street, San Rafael, was found dead in a hotel room in San Rafael yesterday.
Kitzmiller had taken a room at the Travelers Hotel at 706 Third Street the previous evening. Mrs. Carole Holman, manager of the hotel, went into the room shortly after noon yesterday to clean it and found him dead there. San Rafael police today were awaiting a pathology report which will not be available until the middle of next week.
Kitzmiller, son of Mr. and Mrs. David Kitzmiller of Fairfax, was a native of San Francisco who had lived in Marin since 1944. He attended Tamalpais, San Rafael and Drake High Schools. Unemployed for the past four months, he had worked as a mechanic.
Besides his parents, he was survived by his wife, Janet; two daughters, Denise, 3, and Evelyn, 15 months; and brothers Glenn and Robert, both of San Rafael.
Private funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Keaton mortuary in San Rafael.
