MARY BIKAKIS
Novato homemaker

Memorial services for Mary Ida Bikakis of Novato will be at 11 a.m. tomorrow at Our Lady of Loretto Church in Novato.

Visitation will be today from 5 to 9 p.m. at Keaton’s Redwood Chapel, 1801 Novato Blvd., Novato.

Mrs. Bikakis died March 25 in San Rafael. She was 77.

She was born in Aspen, Colo. and moved with her family to Utah when she was very young. She moved to San Francisco with her husband, George Bikakis, in 1942. She was a homemaker who enjoyed gardening, cooking, playing bridge, painting and drawing. She also was fond of doing a special dance routine with her husband for friends at parties.

“She wasn’t flamboyant, but she was very creative. She raised a good family and prided herself on being a good mother,” said her daughter, Peggi Trimble of Novato.

Mrs. Bikakis is also survived by another daughter, Eleanor Suri of San Francisco; three sisters, Helen Corpening of El Cajon, Frances Rodriguez of Sunnyvale and Louise Carlucci of Alhambra; a brother, Edward Kochevar of Utah; and two granddaughters.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Diabetes Association.
