TARCISIO ‘AL’ MASCHI
Tarcisio “Al” Maschi of Greenbrae, former bread salesman and longtime Marin resident, died Wednesday, Aug. 22, 1990, at his home at age of 80.
He was born in Framingham, Mass., and moved to San Francisco in the 1930s. He had lived in Marin since 1962.
Mr. Maschi worked as a salesman for the old Roma Bread Co. and Parisian Bread Co., both in San Francisco, selling in the Fisherman’s Wharf area.
He was an expert cribbage and bridge player and avid fan of the San Francisco 49ers and Giants.
His family said he was fond of his friends at Matteucchi’s bar in San Anselmo.
Survivors are his wife of 56 years, Pierina Maschi; a daughter, Marilyn Valmassoi of Petaluma; a son, Peter Maschi of San Francisco; three sisters, Emma Maschi and Helen Leporati, both of Framingham, and Theresa Monoham of Maine; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
A memorial Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday at Mission San Rafael Archangel in San Rafael. Burial will be private.
The family prefers memorial donations to a favorite charity.
