Phyllis E. Gould was a volunteer at the Buck Center for Research in Aging.
She died July 13 at 76.
Mrs. Gould was born in Massachusetts, and moved to California with her family in 1967. She lived in Novato.
Her activities included the United Methodist Church in Novato, where she served on the executive board, the worship committee, and the Women’s Society.
She was also involved with the PTA, Girl and Boy Scouts, Eastern Star and the Friends of the Library.
Mrs. Gould is survived by her daughters Susan Gould Millan and Barbara Gould; a son, Robert Gould Sr.; and six grandchildren.
Her husband, Capt. Joseph E. Gould, and a son, Larry, died earlier.
Memorial services will be at 2 p.m., July 20 at Novato United Methodist church.
Private burial will be at Valley Memorial Park in Novato.

A Death Notice in the same paper adds that she was born in Worcester, Mass and died in Novato Community Hospital; she married her childhood friend, Joseph, in 1941. Her grandchildren are Sebastian Minding, Jennifer Millan, Larry Gould, Meaghan Minding, Robert Gould Jr. and Joseph Gould.
