Seaman is Killed by Beam Over Gate
RALPH K. STEDMAN, a seaman of the U.S. Geodetic Survey, was instantly killed on Wednesday as he was riding in a truck under an arch on the Bolinas Beach Tract.
The machine in which he was riding was enroute to Drake's Bay. He was standing at the rear of the truck, and did not see the approaching beam.
After the accident, he was rushed to Pt. Reyes where Dr. F.M. Cannon made an examination and pronounced him dead.
An autopsy made by Dr. Kuser disclosed a basal fracture of the skull.
