Former Corte Madera Boy Fatally Injured In Auto, Bicycle Crash In Sonoma
Thomas William Keenan, 11, former resident of Corte Madera, died last night at Sonoma from injuries sustained Monday when he rode his bicycle into the side of an automobile. He was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Keenan. The Keenans moved to Sonoma just six weeks ago and were living at Route 1, Box 417, Sonoma. The boy’s father is employed at Mare Island.
The boy suffered a basal skull fracture in the collision Monday evening at 6 o’clock and died at 4:40 p.m. yesterday without regaining consciousness.
The accident happened on the Lovell valley road. According to William L. Douglas, who lives on the ranch adjoining the Keenan place, the boy, riding out from his home rode directly into the side of his automobile.
In addition to his parents the Keenan boy is survived by a sister.
Funeral will be held Friday afternoon at 2 o’clock from Keaton’s in San Rafael, burial following in Mt. Tamalpais cemetery.

A Death Notice on page 4 adds that he was the son of Thomas and Laura Keenan and brother of Laura Jane Keenan; he was a native of California.
