Roberta Catherine Ferguson of San Rafael, a Marin resident for 16 years, died Tuesday at a local hospital after a long illness. She was 45.
Mrs. Ferguson was a native of San Francisco. She attended grade school there and t hen moved to Washington state when she was about 10.
She moved to Honolulu at age 18 and worked in real estate while living in Hawaii. She met her husband, Edward S. Ferguson, while living in Hawaii.
The couple first moved to St. Louis, Mo., after their marriage and then moved to San Francisco where they lived for three years. They moved to Marin about 1963.
Mrs. Ferguson was a homemaker in Marin. She was a member of the Marin Diabetes Association and the First Presbyterian Church of San Rafael.
Besides her husband, she is survived by a daughter, Roberta Ferguson of San Rafael, and a sister, Marilyn Lane of Livermore.
A memorial service will be held Saturday at 4 p.m. at the First Presbyterian Church, 1510 Fifth Ave., San Rafael.
The family prefers memorial donations to the American Diabetes Association.
