AGNES CAMPION TAYLOR
Agnes Campion Taylor of San Rafael, widow of a longtime Marin physician, died Monday in a local convalescent home after a lengthy illness. She was 81.
Mrs. Campion was born and raised in San Francisco. She met her husband, the late Dr. John C. W. Taylor, when she was working at the University of California Medical Center in San Francisco. They were married in 1928.
In 1937 they moved to Marin, living first in Ross and then moving to San Rafael in 1940. He practiced medicine in San Rafael until his death in 1968.
Mrs. Taylor was president of the San Rafael Improvement Club for many years.
Surviving are one son, John C. W. Taylor Jr. of San Rafael; two brothers, Dr. George Campion of Carmel and Dr. Edward Campion of San Rafael; two sisters, Helen OíConnor and Rose Ward, both of San Rafael, and six grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m. Thursday at Mission San Rafael Arcangel. Burial will be in Golden Gate National Cemetery, San Bruno. The rosary will be recited at 8 p.m. Wednesday at Keatonís Mortuary in San Rafael.
