Wealthy Ross Insurance Man Dies At 82
Willard Ormsby Wayman, 82, wealthy retired insurance man and banker, died last night at his Ross home after a long illness. He had been ailing from a heart condition.
A native of San Francisco, he had lived with his wife Rose in Marin County since 1906 and in the same Ross home for the past 44 years. They had been married for 58 years.
Wayman was a director with the Anglo California Bank in an Francisco and had been insurance broker for the National Fire Insurance Co. since the San Francisco earthquake in 1906. He had been retired for the past 10 years.
Wayman was a member of the Bohemian Club and Pacific Union Club in San Francisco, and an avid sportsman.
Besides his widow he leaves a niece, Eleanor Johansen of Soda Springs, and a nephew, Willard Hayes Wayman of San Francisco.
Funeral services will be held 3 p.m. tomorrow at the Ross home on Fernhill avenue under direction of Keatonís Mortuary, San Rafael. Inurnment will be private.
