Settles Final Rites Tomorrow
Funeral services have been scheduled for tomorrow morning for James E. Settles of San Rafael, who drowned Monday when his boat overturned at the mouth of the Klamath River. He was 44
Settles, who owned Settles Frozen Food Lockers in San Rafael had lived in Marin County for about 12 years. He was a native of Missouri.
He was a member of the Marin Rod and Gun Club, National Frozen Food Institute, the Bay Area Locker Assn. and Marin Lutheran Church of Corte Madera.
Settles is survived by his wife, Esther M. Settles; a son, James R. Settles; a daughter, Janice E. Settles; his mother, Mathilda Jane Settles of Mountain View, and two sisters, Eunice Pellizari of Mountain View and Annie Denney of Fordland, Mo.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. at the Harry M. Williams Mortuary in San Rafael. Interment will be in Mt. Tamalpais Cemetery.
