Frankie L. Harper
Frankie Lee Harper of Cotati, who spent most of his life in Marin, died Tuesday, Nov. 3, 1992, at home of AIDS. He was 34.
After graduating from San Rafael High School in 1977, he spent four years working as a computer operator with the Navy, including a stint on the USS Ohio.
After his military service, he worked as a computer operator at Ross Perotís Electronic Data Systems in Dallas, Texas.
During his youth, he played semi-professional baseball with a San Francisco team, according to his brother, Jimmy Harper of Portsmith, Ohio. Mr. Harper also was a devoted 49ers fan.
In addition to his brother, he is survived by his wife and son, Laurie and Kevin Harper, both of Cotati, and a sister, Nancy Harper of Salt Lake City.
A memorial service is set for 11 a.m. Friday at The Lords Church in Ignacio.
The family suggests memorial contributions to Hospice of Petaluma or Face to Face, P.O. Box 1599, Guerneville, 95446.
