Hazel Severson of Petaluma died Saturday at her home after a lengthy illness. She was 55.
A native of Maryville, Tenn., she had lived there and in Louisiana before moving to California.
Mrs. Severson had lived in Petaluma since 1976. She was a homemaker. She was a member of the First Southern Baptist Church and the Ladies Auxiliary to the Veterans of Foreign Wars.
She is survived by her husband, Charles Severson of Petaluma, three daughters, Barbara Jo Powell and Hazel Faye Walker of San Jose and Alpha Gail Marshall of Spring Hill, Ark., a son, Paul Lynn Walker of Sunnyvale, a sister, Marie Walker of Maryville, Tenn., a brother, Sheridan Walker Jr. of Townsand, Tenn., and 12 grandchildren.
A funeral will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. at the First Southern Baptist Church, Petaluma. Friends may call at the parent Funeral Chapel until 9:30 a.m. Wednesday.
Burial will be at Cypress Hill Memorial Park. The family prefers contributions be made to the American Cancer Society, Sonoma County Unit, 811 College Ave., Santa Rosa, 95404.
