ORIE (JACK) BRUETT
Funeral for Orie (Jack) Bruett of Point Reyes Station, a retired bus driver for the Tomales Union School District, will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Russell and Gooch Mortuary in Mill Valley.
Bruett died Wednesday at a local hospital after being injured in a fall at his home Feb. 5. He was 74.
A resident of Marin 23 years, Bruett was a bus driver for the school district for three years before retiring in 1954. For 25 years, he worked as a bartender for a number of San Francisco establishments before moving to Point Reyes Station.
Bruett, a native of Iowa, was a veteran of World War I.
Surviving are his wife, Elaine; two sons, William Grant of Florida and Jack Grant of Iowa; two daughters, Arlene Jason of San Francisco and Gladys Morgan of Petaluma; four sisters, Georgia Wright, Bernice Swartz and Margaret Alexander, all of Iowa, and Sylvia Allen of Missouri; two brothers, John and Clark Bruett, both of Iowa. He also leaves several grandchildren.
Friends may call after 9 a.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Mount Olivet Cemetery in San Rafael.
