Funeral for Robert John Hauge of San Rafael was held Wednesday.
Hauge died Tuesday at a local hospital after a brief illness. He was 58.
A native of Glasgow, Mont., he grew up in Salem, Ore., and attended Oregon State University. Hague served in the Navy for eight years prior to and during World War II.
He was a 20-year resident of San Rafael, where he was vice president and manager of Cullins-Hauge contracting firm.
Hauge was a member of the Marin Builders Exchange, Sons of Norway, Elks Lodge 1108 and American Legion Post 37 of San Rafael.
He is survived by his wife, Virginia of San Rafael; two sons, Steven H. Hauge of Arcata and Robert G. Hauge of Sebastopol; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Harvey W. Gibbs of Salem; and three sisters, Phyllis McIntyre of Salem, Helen Soderman of Palo Alto and Bette Christensen of Cupertino.
Burial was private.
