Annie Meagor Dies After Brief Illness
Mrs. Annie B. Meagor, 88-year-old native of England and a Marin resident for more than 60 years, died Saturday night at a local hospital following an illness of about two weeks.
She came to San Rafael in 1895, then moved two years later to San Anselmo where her husband, the late Richard B. Meagor, was engaged in the hauling and teamster business. About two years ago she moved to San Rafael to make her home with her daughter, Mrs. Annie Belle Diener at 10 Wilson court.
Surviving her in addition to her daughter are three sons, Joseph C. and William R. Meagor of San Anselmo and John A. Meagor of San Rafael.
She is also survived by three grandchildren, Edith R. Sciaroni, William R. Meagor Jr., and Joseph C. Meagor Jr., and two great-grandchildren, Stephen and John Sciaroni.
She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of San Anselmo.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. tomorrow at the Harry M. Williams Mortuary, San Rafael, followed by burial in Mt. Tamalpais Cemetery.
A Death Notice in the same paper adds that she was also the mother of the late Robert A. Meagor.
