Private funeral for George W. Bloom, an architect of San Rafael, has been held.
Bloom, of 777 Bamboo Terrace, died Tuesday in a San Francisco hospital after a sudden illness. He was 51.
Bloom was a native of West Virginia and a resident of California for 22 years. He had lived in Marin County three years.
He was a member of the Alpha Rho Chi fraternity of Ohio State University and past president of the San Francisco chapter of the university’s alumni association.
He had worked as an architect in San Francisco.
Survivors include his wife, Nina; two daughters, Susan and Sandra, and a son, George II, all of San Rafael; a brother, Lt. Col. Walter Bloom of Ohio, and his mother and father, Virginia and George W. Bloom of Columbus, Ohio.
