Max Blum Succumbs To Heart Trouble
Max Blum, well-to-do retired merchant and property owner of San Rafael, passed away suddenly last Saturday morning at his residence. He had been acutely ill but two days from heart trouble. He had been a sufferer from the affliction, however, for several years.
The funeral was held at 11 o'clock Monday, with services at the Elks Hall. He had been a member of the lodge for many years, and was also a member of Tamalpais Stamm, U. 0. R. M. The interment was in Cypress Lawn cemetery, San Mateo.
Born in Switzerland, he had lived in California for nearly 40 years, most of this period in San Francisco, where he conducted successfully several business enterprises. He was 61 years of age.
He is survived by his widow, Anna Blum, and three children, Max Blum, Jr., Helen Blum and Mrs. Emma Botscheider, the latter residing in San Francisco. The funeral was directed by the Stephen Eden Undertaking Company.
