Long-Time Black Point Man Dies
Aurelio Strozzi, 90, a resident of Black Point since 1909, died in a local hospital yesterday, only a few hours after being taken suddenly ill at his home at 194 Atherton avenue.
Strozzi had operated a cattle ranch near Elko, Nev., before moving to Black Point, where he ranched on a small scale. Earlier, he was a glazier.
He was a member of Novato Grove 113, Ancient Order of Druids, for many years. He was born in Switzerland.
He is survived by his wife, Corinna, whom he married in Switzerland in 1899; three daughters and a son, Mrs. Peter Vanza, Mrs. Edna Riebli and Pomeo Strozzi, all of Black Point; one grandchild; two great-grandchildren, and other relatives in Switzerland.
Requiem Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday at Our Lady of Loretto Catholic Church in Novato. Interment will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery, San Rafael. The Rosary will be recited at 8 p.m. tomorrow at Redwood Funeral Home, Novato.
