Melvine Gunn Dies
Resident Of Mill Valley

Mrs. Melvine Longley Gunn, long active in Mill Valley church and civic affairs, died at her home at 182 Elm avenue early today after a brief illness.

A native of Austin, Tex., Mrs. Gunn came to Mill Valley 31 years ago. She had been active in the Rector’s Guild of the Episcopal Church of Our Saviour and had also been prominent in activities of the American Legion Auxiliary. She was a longtime member of the Outdoor Art Club.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by a son, Joseph R. Gunn III of San Rafael, and by two grandchildren.

Services will be held at 11:30 a.m. Thursday at the Episcopal Church of Our Saviour. Friends may call at the Russell and Gooch Chapel until the time of services. Interment will be private.

The family has expressed a preference for donation to the American Cancer Society.
