Elsie L. Frustuck, Longtime Resident
No funeral is planned for Elsie Louise Frustuck, longtime Marin resident and member of a pioneer Fairfax family, who died Tuesday at her home after a long illness.
Miss Frustuck, 73, was born in San Francisco and came to Fairfax with her family in 1906 following the earthquake and fire. She attended Fairfax School, for which her father was a trustee. She was graduated from Tamalpais High School and the University of California and for a time attended Hastings College of Law.
Miss Frustuck continued to live in Fairfax most of her life, but she later taught at various elementary schools outside the county and in Sausalito.
Frustuck Avenue is named for her father, Henry Frustuck, who once owned much of central Fairfax, and Elsie Lane was named for Miss Frustuck.
She is survived by a sister, Clara Sanborn of San Francisco.
Inurnment was at Olivet Memorial Park, Colma.
