When I was a child we would go to the beach across from Play Land. Mom, Dad and my Grandparents would bring lunch and a big blanket, we would spend the day. My brother, sister and I would run all over the place playing tag with the ocean and getting wet. After lunch we would look for shells as we could not go back into the water for an hour because we might get a cramp and drown.
There were so many Sand Dollars and all kinds and sizes of shells all over the beach. Most of them were perfect but it was a special prize to find unbroken Sand Dollars. We usually found at least one Star Fish that we would take home (I donít think I realized they had been alive).
The souvenir I would like is a jar full of Shells from San Francisco Beach from many many years ago.
