My mothers family comes from the city. I was the first generation born outside of San Francisco for almost 100 years. Living in the bay area all my life I always wanted to live in the city by the Bay.
Well I got my chance finally in 2002. I did leave my BROKEN heart in San Francisco. I took trips down the streets my great-grandmother grew up, the same with my grandma, and streets my mother lived on. As beutiful as the city is I was never able to find a urine free zone. The homeless problem has gotten way to out of hand and those who are not homeless have become filled with greed and rudeness.
There are those (as always) who are exceptions. Those exceptions I will never forget.
I will always love the city. It is a magnet to anyone who visits, people always want to come back. I want to go back, and I will!
To lay back at Golden Gate Park to visit the famous Haight-Asbury where my Aunt was a Hippy on the cover of Time Magazine at the cemetaries all of my family is buried at. My heart will always belong to San Francisco!
