The Seals-what memories. I lived up on the Hill onPotrero Hill. We could see at nite the lights at thestadium from 18th and Connecicut St. It was 1945-46 47-48. My dad was an Longshoreman and loved baseball. He would sometimes take me to the Seals games at the stadium. On some Sundays He and I would go over to Emeryvill in the morning to see the Oaks play the Seals then race over to the stadium in SF to see th eteams play the second game of the double Header. Iwas 7 then . OO How Iloved listening to the Seals at nite on the radio-homeruns going thru Maggies window (an imaginary window the anouncer use to say. Some of the Players-Joe Brovia- Earl Rapp-Con Dempsey Roy Nicely Jim Moran Larry Dipipo Ray Orteg- Joe Sprinz. What memories. I meet with someof my old friends once a year at the Double Play across the street and I must say looking in that back room ther ewith the drawing painting of the Stadium we do shed a few tears. But happy Tears. I remember espencially an old women who would sell peanuts out side the wall in right fiels. Hell for 25 cents u got a huge bag. Inside Fagin would sell u half a bag for 35cents - No match . We all got inline inthe old ladies line. Iremember the 9 cents seats in the right field bleachers. What memories. I in high school (Sacred Heart ) would play our championship games and a winter league in the Stadium during the Seals off season. What memories . I lived in a third floor flat in the Poterero hill and woujld never forget those stadiums lights. Anyone with memories -communicate to me Laskya150@aol.com -Tom
