Thirty-five girls and boys, members of the class of 1942, marched down
the aisle of the Community House Wednesday evening to receive their diplomas
in the presence of hundreds of relatives and friends. The girls wore sport
dresses of pastels and white and the boys wore brown slacks and beige sport
Pupils from Novato, Dixie, Loma Alta, Black Point, San Jose and Lincoln districts held their exercises jointly in Novato. Eileen Mary Wilson of Novato gave the valedictory and Mrs. Wayne Tharp, member of the Novato board of trustees, presented the diplomas, following an inspiring talk to the graduates.
A delightful operetta “The Lost Clown” was given by the pupils of Novato school preceding t he presentation of diplomas. In attractive and colorful costume the children gave a superb performance.
