High School Program Next Thursday Night
Thirty four students of San Rafael High School will receive their diplomas of graduation next Thursday night in the exercises to be held at the Orpheus Theatre.
It is expected that the theater will be filled to capacity with the relatives and friends of the young men and women who are to enact that night the closing scene of t heir happy period in the high school and go out to other halls of learning or to the stern task of making a livelihood.
The opening number on the program will be musical, with the high school chorus and orchestra, and organ. Miss Bernice Sellman will deliver the greeting.
A Sextette of graduates will then contribute a song to the program. The vocalists will be the Misses Marcella Schiller, Ruth Sisson, Elvetia Camporelli, Ethel Hammond, Genevieve Ridgway and Bernice Sellman.
The address of the evening will be delivered by Thomas P. Boyd, president of the board of Education, after which will be given three vocal numbers by the girls’ choral. James Hoff has been delegated for the presentation of the class gifts, and Leonard Asher will be the valedictorian. Awards will be made by Principal Oliver Hartzell, and then will take place the closing act, the presentation of diplomas by President Boyd. The orchestra will render several selections at intervals during the program.

Alyce Ahern and Peter Bertoni.
