Enardo Roses German or Herman?

[California Spanish Query Board]

Looking for any information or records for my ancestor. Was given the name Enardo Roses German through oral communication. Believe he was born some time around 1800 in California. Had his wife and children in Santa Barbara in the 1830s, until his wife died of small pox [all we have for her name is Mekilia]. He then put his two children [a boy and a girl] in a convent at Mission San Juan Bautista. Soon after the boy died also of small pox [unknown first name] and the daughters name was Maria Santica German. I have only been able to find one record for Maria Santica: 1870 US Federal Census for San Luis Obispo County. At this time, she was known as Maria S Martinez, married to her third husband Pedro Martinez born around 1808.

Would love any help or advice.
