I, J. A. WINANT of the State of California, hereby give notice that in accordance with the laws of said state I have entered upon and am now occupying certain portions of Tomales Bay for the purpose of planting and cultivating oysters. The same being situated on the East shore of the said Bay in Township 3 North Range 9 West Marin County and bordering the land owned by Mr. JAMES MILLER. The first is a Cove or lagoon at what is known as the Shierick Ranch situated about a mile and a half below or NW of Millers Point the same being crossed by the trestle work of the R.R. Also the Cove further up the Bay known as Millers Gulch lying South and East of Millers Point and also the Cove lying between the two above named and I claim the exclusive right to use and occupy the same for the purpose above mentioned.
