Marin Man Is Suicide As He Jumps In Bay
L. Brashear, 22, fireman on a dredger off Hamilton Field, committed suicide this morning at dawn when he jumped overboard into the bay. No trace of his body had been found at noon, although constant search has been made.
Employed on the dredger for the past week, Brashear is said to have acted irrationally during the night and two of his fellow workers sat up all night with him. At five o’clock he dashed to the edge and jumped, sinking immediately.
He leaves a widow and two children. With his family he lived on Easterby street, Sausalito.
