Ernest Cheda, Kin of Local Family, Called by Death
Ernest Cheda, 50, cousin of George Cheda of the Redwood Empire Credit Association, San Rafael, was found dead, victim of a heart attack, on the ranch of his parents, Mrs. and Mrs. J. A. Cheda in San Luis Obispo, where he was visiting.
Cheda had gone into the field to drive the horses when he was stricken. The dog which had accompanied him gave the alarm that something was wrong by returning to the home and barking continuously.
Mr. Chedaís mother left for field with the dog leading the way. On the side of the trail she found her sonís body. Attempting to arouse him was another of the faithful dogs.
Last November, Mr. Cheda visited with the P. Campigli family in Olema and with the Chedas in Pt. Reyes, to whom he was also related.
