Rites Held For John T. Beales, 80
Private funeral services were held this morning for John Thomas Beales, Marin resident for the past 50 years who was found dead yesterday at his home in San Anselmo. He was born in San Francisco 80 years ago, and had recently been in ill health.
Beales was a retired San Francisco real estate broker. He made his home at 160 Prospect avenue with his wife, Mrs. Louise H. Beales, who survives him.
He is also survived by two daughters and two sons, Miss Eleanor Beales and Mrs. Mora Smith, both of San Anselmo; John Thomas Beales Jr. of Oakland and Ross Worn Beales of San Francisco; a sister Miss Elena Beales of San Francisco, and seven grandchildren, Robert and Hoyt Smith, Kirk, Ross W. Jr., Mark,, Alan K. and John T. Beales III.
After private funeral services at the home conducted by the Harry M. Williams Mortuary, burial was conducted at Mt. Tamalpais Cemetery.
A .32 caliber revolver was found by Beales’ body.
