FRANCIS L. BURT
Former Sausalito resident Francis L. Burt, 60, died unexpectedly Saturday in a Napa hospital.
Burt had lived in Napa since 1967, when he retired after selling his business in San Francisco. He was founder and president of the Burt Simplex Filler co., a food machinery processing corporation.
He was a native of Kent, Wash., and lived in Seattle until coming to the Bay Area in 1941.
He was a member of the Greater Kiwanis Club of Napa, Napa Chamber of Commerce Ambassadors, Napa County Historical Society, Napa Valley Dinner club and the Commonwealth Club of San Francisco.
He is survived by his wife, Beth L. Burt, of the family home, and a brother, Robert Burt of Vancouver, Wash.
Funeral will be at 1 p.m. tomorrow at Treadway and Wigger Funeral Chapel, 623 Coombs Street, Napa. Burial will be in Tulocay Cemetery.
A Death Notice in the same paper adds that he was the uncle of John and Ann Burt of Vancouver, Wash.
