Death Claims Mother of Dr. John Canoles
Mrs. Fannie E. Canoles, mother of a family of twelve, all of whom have grown to man and womanhood, passed away suddenly in the Franklin Hospital, San Francisco, after an illness extending over nine or ten years.
She was the wife of the late William C. Canoles, who died in 1931; mother of Dr. John Jefferson Canoles, pastor of the First Presbyterian Church in San Rafael; William E., Charles, Joseph, George, Carl, Stanley, Laurence and Arthur Canoles, Mrs. Mollie A. Pottett, Mrs. Margaret Horton, San Francisco; Mrs. Katherine M. Cochrane, Fresno.
Mrs. Canoles was a native of Baltimore, Maryland, and lived here up to a few years ago.
Private funeral services were held Tuesday at Grey (spelling iffy due to dark copy) funeral chapel, San Francisco, with Dr. John Hayee Creighton, pastor of the First Presbyterian church, San Francisco, officiating.
Mrs. Canoles recently underwent an operation, and appeared to be making a normal recovery, when death summoned.
