Virginia C. Crisp

Age 81, a 48-year Corte Madera resident, died gently at home on January 26, 2002 after a long and courageous battle with Alzheimer's Disease. She was born on June 8, 1920 in San Francisco and attended Galileo High School, the University of California at Berkeley and the Academy of Art College. She married the late Edward D. Crisp in 1942 and moved with her family to Corte Madera in 1953. While raising her children, she was active in the Camp Fire Girls and the Neil Cummins Elementary PTA. Later, she studied pottery and printmaking at the College of Marin and traveled several times to Europe.

Mrs. Crisp is survived by daughters Jackie Whelan of Boulder, Colorado and Becky White of Larkspur, son Tom Crisp of Davis, son-in-law Dan White Sr. of Larkspur and grandchildren Erin and Danny White and Ashley, Kelly and William Whelan.

At her request, no services will be held. The family prefers contributions to Hospice of Marin, the Marin Chapter Alzheimer's Association, or a charity of your choice.
