BROWNE, Robert Daniel -- Passed away on July 1, 2001 in Santa Rosa. Dearly beloved husband of 65 years to Myrtle Browne; loving father of Carol Clancy and her husband Michael of Novato and the late Richard Browne; grandfather of Robert Browne and his wife Vibeke of Novato, Christopher Clancy and his wife Kyoko of Nagasaki, Japan, Matthew Clancy of Sebastopol and Michelle Clancy of Novato; great-grandfather of Ryan and Kelsey Browne of Novato. He was a member of the Brotherhood Lodge #370 F.& A.M., Luther Burbank Lodge #57 F.& A.M., Rose Valley Chapter #33 O.E.S., Pacific Star Chapter #252 O.E.S., American Radio Relay League (ARRL), Sonoma County Radio Amateur, Inc., Accordian Club of the Redwoods, National Association of Watch & Clock Collectors, Retired Employees of the City and County of San Francisco and 50 year member of the International Association of Machinists (I.A.M.). He enjoyed amateur radio, computers, geneology, clock making and photography. He worked as a machinist specializing in precision instrument design. A native of San Francisco and Santa Rosa resident for 18 years, age 90. Friends are invited to attend a memorial service on Friday, August 10, 2001 at 11:00 A.M. at Santa Rosa Memorial Park Chapel, 1900 Franklin Avenue, Santa Rosa.
