Beatrice McGrath of San Rafael, a Marin County resident 18 years, died yesterday in a local hospital after long illness.
Mrs. McGrath, a nurse, was the wife of Edward C. McGrath, an engineer with the California Department of Water Resources. They resided at 41 Coleman Drive.
Mrs. McGrath was office nurse for Dr. Brooks Pringle of San Rafael for 12 years, and most recently a general duty nurse at Marin General Hospital.
She was born in Nelson, B.C., Canada, and graduated from Royal Jubilee Hospital Nursing College in Victoria, B.C. She came to California from Canada in 1948.
Surviving are her husband; her mother, Frances Staples of Vancouver, B.C.; a brother, Tanner Staples of Edmonton, Alta., Canada, and a sister, Audrey Staples of Vancouver.
Requiem Mass will be offered at 9:30 a.m. Monday at St. Raphael’s Mission Chapel, San Rafael. Burial will be in Mount Olivet Cemetery, San Rafael. Rosary will be recited at 8 p.m. tomorrow at Keaton Chapel, San Rafael.
