Memorial services for Philip Albert Dolter of Belvedere will be held tomorrow at 2 p.m. at St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church, Belvedere.
Dolter, 55, military traffic manager for American President Lines in San Francisco, died Sunday at a local hospital after a short illness.
He resided at 4 Tamalpais Avenue with his wife, Katherine, and daughters, Barbara Jean and Lisa Katherine.
Dolter had lived 10 years in Marin County. He had served with Dollar Lines prior to that company being taken over by American President Lines. He was in the shipping business 34 years.
A commander in the naval reserve and a veteran of World War II, Dolter was past president of the National Defense Assn., of which he was a life member. He was a member of the Navy League, the Propellor Club and Honolulu Lodge 409, Free and Accepted Masons.
He is survived by his wife and daughters and his mother, Mrs. Grace A. Dolter of Mill Valley.
Private interment will be directed by Russell and Gooch Mortuary, Mill Valley. The family requests that tributes be contributions to the heart fund or to a favorite charity.
