Anna M. Bloom
Requiem Mass for Anna May Bloom, a former Petaluma teacher, will be offered at 10:30 a.m. tomorrow at St. Vincent de Paul Church, Petaluma. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery.
Mrs. Bloom died Tuesday at a local hospital after a short illness. A native of Petaluma, she attended San Jose State college and taught in rural Sonoma County schools for several years and later at McKinley School, Petaluma, for 10 years. She was 79.
She was the wife of the late James Bloom, who was assistant manager of the former Petaluma National Bank. Mrs. Bloom was past president of the St. Vincentís Mothers Club, and a member of the Petaluma Womans club and Catholic Ladies Aid Society.
She is survived by a daughter, Marianna McEvoy of Petaluma, a son, James Bloom of San Francisco; a sister, Alice E. Lane of Petaluma, and six grandchildren.
Recitation of the Rosary will be at 8 p.m. today at the Sorensen funeral home, Petaluma.
A Death Notice in the same paper adds information: Anna May Bloom was the sister of the late Leo C. Anevascini; grandmother of Kevin, Margaret, Kathleen, Timothy, Helen and Ann McEvoy, all of Petaluma.
